I am a Canadian investor who would love to buy your total usa equity fund; but apparently I can’t buy - because I am Canadian.
What would you recommend instead - iShares S&P 500 ETF? Thanks

If you can buy ETF’s then try the VTI. It covers the entire U.S. market. At last count there were 3,570 individual stocks in the fund. The fund is tax efficient and it virtually eliminates uncompensated risk.
